Travel Assistance Award

The ADVANCE at WSU Travel Assistance Award is designed to support professional travel by addressing access-related or caregiving logistics. This includes financial assistance for needs such as dependent care or other accommodations that enable faculty to fully participate in national and international conferences where they are presenting significant or novel research. 

This program recognizes that caregiving responsibilities and other personal logistics can limit access to professional opportunities. By offering targeted support, the award helps ensure that all faculty—regardless of caregiving status, disability, or other access needs—can engage in scholarly activities that advance their careers. The program aims to foster career development, promote scholarly engagement, and recognize faculty who are making impactful contributions in their fields.
