There are many opportunities to participate in VAuLTS for faculty from partner institutions. See our chart below to decide what best suits you!

Full VAuLTS• Mid-career level faculty from a participating partner institution (Associate rank or equivalent)• Greater readiness to engage as “authentic” leaders – leaders focused on actions that are consistent with their values
•Greater comfort with assuming leadership positions
•Enhanced leadership capacity (e.g., conflict resolution skills, etc.)
• Participate in the External Mentor program, VAuLTS Online Leadership Training, and NICs Phase 2• Participation in the External Mentor Program (1-2 hours per month for 12 months, plus one-time travel/seminar to mentee’s or mentor’s institution), VAuLTS Leadership Training (4-month commitment), and NICs (1 hour per month for 12 months)
Network Improvement Communities (NICs)• Faculty from our regional partner institutions regardless of field, rank, and gender• Enhance professional network
• Improve institutional climate
• Contribute to gender equity across our institutions
• Contribute to more faculty-friendly policies
• Phase 1: Tailor Tidal Leadership training to women in STEM (Summer 2020)
• Phase 2: Discussion of policies related to gender equity (Currently ongoing)
• Minimum monthly hour-long Zoom meetings with prep work for each meeting
Stakeholder• Women faculty in STEM fields
• Administrators working with policy that addresses advancement of women in STEM on any level
• Help us elucidate effectiveness of our programming to ensure that your institution, and others we disseminate it to, get the most out of VAuLTS programming• Provide input about policies concerning the advancement of women in STEM• 1 online survey at two time points
